Here's where I'm going with all this. Thanks Allison for the inspiration.

  1. Criticism many times can be taken as a compliment. Positive thinking and learning from those around you will bring continued success.

  2. Jonathan, thanks for the comment. Just like I do with my customers, I look at criticism as an opportunity. Whether it's an opportunity to look at things from a different angle, create an innovation, or just change and improve, I treasure these opportunities. They spark passion in me. Another reason I love video. Could you feel the passion? ;)

  3. Thanks, Mark! Right on. Glad I inspire this video. I know we're on to something. Here's some interesting quotes:

“There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home.” Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC), maker of big business mainframe computers, arguing against the PC in 1977.

"A rocket will never be able to leave the Earth’s atmosphere.” New York Times, 1936.

“Flight by machines heavier than air is unpractical and insignificant, if not utterly impossible.” Simon Newcomb. The Wright Brothers flew at Kittyhawk 18 months later.

“This ‘telephone’ has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us.” A memo at Western Union, 1878.

“The world potential market for copying machines is 5000 at most.” IBM, to the eventual founders of Xerox, saying the photocopier had no market large enough to justify production, 1959.

“Television won’t be able to hold on to any market it captures after the first six months. People will soon get tired of staring at a plywood box every night.” Darryl Zanuck, movie producer, 20th Century Fox.

“Everything that can be invented has been invented.” Charles H. Duell, Commissioner, US Patent Office, 1899. Encouraging the close of the Patent Office.

Today all media is social and all social is media. Using that to add value...well, that's up to us. Guess it pays to be thought wrong. Count me in on the "Shock Jock" team. Perhaps we can start a league. :)

    It's all relative.
